The seventh edition of the BNP Paribas Showdown takes place on March 3, 2014 at the Madison Square Garden. The exhibition match will feature a showdown between top-ranked Novak Djokovic and British number one Andy Murray in a bid to further heat up their rivalry.
Both players have faced each other in three of the past four Grand Slams with mixed results. At the 2012 US Open, Andy Murray defeated Djokovic to secure his first career Grand Slam title. Novak Djokovic reversed the results at the Australian Open 2013. At the Wimbledon Championships 2013, Murray once again emerged as the victor to finally end the home country’s wait for a homegrown male champion in 77 years.
The BNP Paribas Showdown 2014 will also feature a siblings match with John and Patrick McEnroe facing against top-ranked doubles players Mike and Bob Bryan.
The tickets for this event will start to go on sale by November 4, 2013.
