The Williams vs Schiavone 2013 US Open Tennis Championships first round match will take place on August 26, Monday at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. The match is the first scheduled match of the night session which starts at 7:00pm EST.
Serena Williams is the overwhelming favorite to win this upcoming match but she won’t be taking things for granted. After all, Schiavone is a former Grand Slam champion and a former top five player and could do a lot of damage if she’s at her element.
This will be the eighth Williams vs Schiavone match. Serena leads the head to head series at 5-2 with their most recent meeting at the Rogers Cup in Toronto two weeks ago with Williams prevailing in straight sets.
