Serena Williams not retiring anytime soon

World number one Serena Williams reiterated that she won’t be retiring anytime soon, an obvious answer considering that she’s just won her 17th Grand Slam singles title at the US Open on Sunday.

“I haven’t thought of a number or age when I’m going to stop,” Williams said.

The 31-year old top-ranked player said that she’s in great shape and despite winning 55 career titles, she still has a lot of goals at this point.

“I can tell you this; I don’t see myself retiring any time soon and obviously there are some goals that I want to reach and things that I want to do,” she said.

Williams now equaled Roger Federer’s haul if 17 Grand Slam titles.
