Serena Williams thinks she’s not the favorite player in upcoming match vs Stephens

World number one Serena Williams believes that in her upcoming US Open 2013 fourth round match against Sloane Stephens, she won’t be the favorite.

“I definitely don’t feel like I’m going in there as a favorite, because she’s playing great, even though I’m playing good, too,” Williams said after her third round victory over Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan on Friday.

“She really has nothing to lose and she excels in situations like that,” Williams said. “So I think she’ll be really good. I’ll just have to see how it goes.”

Both players split their past two meetings. Williams won their first encounter in Brisbane International and Stephens won the next one at the Australian Open 2013 quarterfinals.
