Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi pairs up with Rohan Bopanna once more for 2014 season

The Indo-Pak Express is back!

Reports surfaced that Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan and Rohan Bopanna of India will reunite as a doubles team by the 2014 season. The duo went their separate ways two years ago after Bopanna opted to partner up with compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi for the 2012 London Olympics.

“The decision has been taken after considering all pros and cons after Rohan had shown interest in resuming our partnership on the ATP circuit,” Qureshi said. “Both of us carry a lot of experience now on the international circuit even though we have played separately for a while now,” he added.

The duo has had a stellar run during their partnership – reaching the 2010 US Open final and winning the Paris Masters in 2012.

Qureshi paired up with Jean-Julien Rojer of Netherlands at the recently concluded Stockholm Open which they won. They have a chance to qualify for the ATP World Tour Final in London.
