British tennis superstar Andy Murray will be participating at the Abierto de Tenis tournament in Acapulco, Mexico in 2014. This will be the first time he will participating in this event. This ATP event has been contested on clay but will make a transition to hardcourts starting the 2014 season.
This development was confirmed by Abierto de Tenis’ official Twitter acount.

The Abierto de Tenis will take place from February 24 to March 2, 2014. Murray will be joined by 2013 runner-up David Ferrer. Ferrer was defeated by Rafael Nadal for the title. It was Nadal’s third tournament since his seven-month break from tennis due to injury.
