Andy Murray is the Honorary Chair of the 2013 Junior Orange Bowl

Despite having to likely skip the rest of the 2013 season due to recuperating from a recent back surgery, world number three Andy Murray is still making himself involved in tennis – this time as an Honorary Chair of the upcoming Junior Orange Bowl 2013 which takes place from December 14 to 23.

The Wimbledon Champion is pleased to be an Honorary Chair of the 52nd International Tennis Championship at the Junior Orange Bowl considering that he’s a former champion at this event touted as one of the key junior events in the tennis calendar.

“Winning the Under-12 event in 1999 is still one of my happiest memories from the sport, so I’m delighted to be able to serve as Honorary Chair for this year’s event. I wish everyone who takes part the best of luck, and hope that one day some of you will have the chance to be Honorary Chair. It’s a special tournament and your memories from here will stay with you, so enjoy it,” Murray said.
