Boris Becker’s new autobiography to explain extramarital affair

Retired German tennis star Boris Becker said on Thursday that his upcoming new autobiography will explain in detail the extramarital affair that he had with a model. Becker became a subject of media frenzy back then when it was found out that he cheated on his pregnant wife and had fathered a child in the backroom of a popular London restaurant back in 1999.

The new autobiography is titled “Life Is Not a Game” and it was presented for the first time at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Becker said that the book will delve on “those who took the opportunity to judge me and sometimes to condemn me and my family.”

Becker explained in the book that he was simply “looking for love, a feeling of security”, and added “when you do not have that at home then you may look for that elsewhere, when the opportunity presents itself.”

The affair led to divorce from then-wife Barbara Feltus and cost the three-time Wimbledon titlist millions of dollars.

Becker had released a book in the past titled “The Player” in 2003 which revealed his life as a top-level player living on luxury hotels and a number of female conquests during his lustrous career.
