Lawn Tennis Association, Nike announce four-year partnership extension

World’s leading sports apparel and footwear brand Nike and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) announced a lucrative four-year partnership extension that will certainly help British Tennis. Nike first partnered via LTA’s commercial program in 2009.

Nike will reportedly become an official partner of British Tennis, a notch higher from its official supplier status in the past. This means that Nike will have title sponsorship of a number of junior tournaments such as the ITF Junior Internationals, the British Junior National Championships and the Winter National Tour Finals. LTA on the other hand will continue to keep an eye on the delivery of the Nike Junior Tour in the United Kingdom.

Nike will also take care of providing footwear and clothing to all the LTA performance coaching staff. The sportswear giant will also provide official team kits for all junior and senior Great Britain national teams such as the Davis Cup and Fed Cup participants.

“It’s such a strong endorsement of an organisation when a brand of Nike’s calibre chooses to work with you. We take great pride in working closely with the team at Nike and our new deal will see their involvement deepen across junior tennis in the UK, both in terms of competition and involvement in our grassroots programmes,” said LTA Commercial Director Lawrence Robertson.
