Rafael Nadal confident that Roger Federer will qualify for ATP World Tour Finals

At his press conference with the media on Tuesday at the Shanghai Rolex Masters, world number one Rafael Nadal said that he’s confident that friend and rival Roger Federer will qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals 2013 which begins in November. The prestigious ATP 1500 hardcourt event features the top eight players of the 2013 season.

“He’s going to go, he’s going to qualify. I am sure of that,” said Nadal. “He is not going to have a problem. Even if he doesn’t have lots of points of advantage, I feel he always played well in this last part of the season. He likes to play in these tournaments. He always had the positive results. I really feel that he will do it. He’s a great player and I am sure he will be there and fighting for the title.”

Four players have qualified for the year-end event so far. Rafael Nadal became the first one to qualify followed by Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and David Ferrer.
