ATP World Tour Finals semifinal qualification scenarios as of November 8

Swiss player Stanislas Wawrinka has kept his chances of qualifying for the ATP World Tour Finals semifinal alive after he defeated David Ferrer 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 on Friday. In order to qualify, Rafael Nadal needs to defeat Tomas Berdych later on Friday. Nadal is already assured a place in the semifinals after winning his first two matches.

Here are the ATP World Tour Finals semifinal qualification scenarios as of Friday, November 8.

Singles Group A

• If Nadal defeats Berdych, then he will win the group and Wawrinka qualifies second.
• If Berdych beats Nadal in straight sets, then Berdych wins the group and Nadal qualifies second.
• If Berdych beats Nadal in three sets, then Nadal wins the group and Berdych qualifies second.

Singles Group B

• Novak Djokovic has won the group.
• The winner of Saturday’s match between Juan Martin del Potro and Roger Federer will qualify second.

Doubles Group A

• Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo have won the group.
• The winner of Saturday’s match between Bob and Mike Bryan and Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski will qualify second.

Doubles Group B

• If Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares beat David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco, then Peya/Soares win the group and Marrero/Verdasco qualify second.
• If Marrero/Verdasco beat Peya/Soares in three sets, then Marrero/Verdasco win the group and Peya/Soares qualify second.
• If Marrero/Verdasco beat Peya/Soares in two sets, then Marrero/Verdasco win the group and the second team will be determined by percentage of games won.
