The upcoming mixed team event – the Hopman Cup 2014, will have to find a new broadcaster in Australia as soon as possible or else lose a sizable chunk of audience.
According to reports, TEN network has issued a statement saying that it has “decided to pass on broadcasting the 2013-14 Hopman Cup. The network was unable to reach agreement with Hopman Cup Pty Ltd on appropriate scheduling of the event. The network wishes the event well in the future.”
The network has been broadcasting the event since 2011. As of this time, no network has been announced to take over the broadcast rights of the event.
