John Isner won’t need knee surgery

American John Isner said that he won’t be requiring to undergo knee surgery but admitted that the injury still affects him especially when does exercise or practice.knee but that it still does bother him when he does some strenuous activity.

“This week is pretty important for me. I had an MRI done and had people look at it. I’m not going to need surgery, but there is an issue under my kneecap. It’s about getting everything surrounding the knee stronger. It doesn’t bother me at all when I’m just walking around. But sometimes it hurts when I’m doing something strenuous. So I haven’t touched a racket
for a while, but I am lifting some weights and doing some cardio on the bike. It’s active rest, because when I take time off completely my body feels worse. And I can’t baby this (knee) forever. I need to push myself,” he said in an interview published at www.newsrecord.com.

Isner will be taking part in a charity tournament in December called the Ebix Charity Challenge. The fourth edition of the event will take place in Greensboro on December 7. He will be joined by retired tennis player and former number one Andy Roddick. The proceeds of the event will go to the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center, the establishment that helped his mother, Karen, overcome colon cancer.
