Riccardo Piatti clarifies end of coaching partnership with Gasquet was for “personal reasons”

Riccardo Piatti, the former coach of French tennis player Richard Gasquet, clarified that there was no bad blood between him and the world number nine event after he decided to end the coaching partnership in the middle of the ATP World Tour Finals. It has been reported that Piatti decided to leave Gasquet on the eve of the Frenchman’s last match in London.

“I arrived at a point in my private and professional life where I feel I need to change something on the road that leads me to one side
to be closer to my family, the other to complete my technical experience,” the 55-year-old coach was quoted as saying by Tennis Italiano.
