The Sydney International 2014 tournament promises to be a star-studded event with top players having signed up for the event as early as now.
Defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska has already confirmed her return in the event in January. Meanwhile in the men’s event which will take place from January 5 to 11, 2014, world number five Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina will grace the event together with other marquee players including Wimbledon 2013 semifinalist Jerzy Janowicz and home favorite Bernard Tomic.
“I know the fans like when I hit my forehand really strong. I like to share moments with the crowd and in Sydney the fans create a great atmosphere for the players,” Del Potro said.
“Winning Sydney really changed me and made me feel that I can win these tournaments. I’m really looking forward to coming back and having a shot at defending my title,” Tomic said.
