Tennis Canada President compliments Milos Raonic

Tennis Canada CEO and President Michael Downey shared his insights about tennis star Milos Raonic who’s been making waves this 2013 season.

“In his young career, Milos has already hit so many pinnacles in Canadian tennis, and his commitment to continue developing as a player shows his potential is nowhere near being fully realized yet,” he said.

Raonic has won two titles this season and became the first Canadian player to make it to the world’s top ten. Raonic reached his first ATP Masters 1000 final at his home event at the Rogers Cup back in August.

“Milos, along with Vasek and Daniel are helping to grow Canada’s reputation as a tennis nation,” he said.

Milos Raonic was named the Canadian male tennis player of the year while Vasek Pospisil sealed the Most Improved Player award. Daniel Nestor secured the Male Doubles Player of the Year Awards.
