Williams sisters take part in kids tennis clinic in Jamaica

Sisters Serena and Venus Williams will take part in a children’s tennis clinic at The Tryall Club in Montego Bay, St. James in Jamaica on Thursday. Around 40 to 50 children from Hanover, St. James and other areas will get the chance to meet the multiple Grand Slam titlists and even take part in the activities. The event was organized in partnership with Tennis Jamaica.

According to the release provided by The Tryall Club, children who are between five and 17 years of age, will be part of the clinic.

“Each year we have tennis stars and pros come to The Club and give of their time,” said Tryall Club Director of Tennis Richard Ferdinand. “The Williams sisters are current champions that the students can easily identify with and we hope that by interacting with them, the students will be even more motivated to excel in the sport.”

Venus and Serena Williams have made a mark in the world of tennis. Both players have held the world number ranking in both singles and doubles. Serena Williams is currently the world number one and winner of the 17 Grand Slam titles.
