Alexander Zverev, Belinda Bencic are ITF 2013 Junior World Champions

Germany’s Alexander Zverev and Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic have been crowned at the 2013 ITF Junior World Champions due to their outstanding performances this past season.

Bencic, also named Switzerland’s Junior Athlete of the Year, is currently ranked number one junior tennis player in the world which was made possible after she won the junior Roland Garros and Wimbledon titles.

16-year old Zverev won two junior singles titles and reached three finals including the Roland Garros.

“To be World Champion is very special and a great feeling. Without my team and without my sponsors I would have never reached this goal. Thanks a lot to all those who supported me during the last few years,” Bencic said.
