Andrada Cup 2014 Philippines all set from January 6 to 12

Promising tennis stars from the Philippines will gather at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Manila for the 25th edition of the Andrada Cup.

Touted as one of the oldest tennis events in the country, the Andrada Cup has produced tennis talents such as Clarice Patrimonio, Jurence Zosimo Mendoza and Francis Casey Alcantara.

Alcantara currently plays for Pepperdine University in California and competes for the country’s Davis Cup team. Patrimonio has gone on to win accolades at the Southeast Asian Games while Mendoza will be competing at the uS NCAA tennis tournament.

“Our vision of providing a steady supply of new tennis talents 25 years ago is already bearing fruits,” said Philippine Sports Commissioner Salvador “Buddy” Andrada.
