World number two Novak Djokovic began his 2014 season on a positive note by winning the Mubadala World Tennis Championship title for the third time after the Serbian tennis star defeated Spain’s David Ferrer in the final 7-5 6-2.
Earlier in the day, Rafael Nadal defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to finish the exhibition tournament in third place. Andy Murray placed fifth after ousting Stanislas Wawrinka yesterday.
Djokovic won $250,000 in prize money after clinching the title.
