Andy Murray considers playing at Chennai Open in the future

Fourth-ranked Andy Murray is reportedly interested to participate at the Chennai Open, the only ATP tournament in South Asia, in the future.

The 26-year old British star saw his 2014 season start with early exits in singles and doubles events of the Qatar Open. Murray recently returned to tennis action after missing the last three months of the 2013 season after having undergone a back surgery.

“I’ll definitely go to Chennai if I get invited,” Murray said to Times of India. “I’ve spoken to a bunch of people on the Tour who’ve played in Chennai, and they all say it’s ideal preparation for the Australian Open, given the hot, humid conditions there.

“My favourite is chicken biryani. I used to have a lot of curry before, but the sauces don’t work great for a professional athlete. So I have a lot of the plain and dry stuff. I’m an also big fan of the naan bread,” he added.
