It was an enthralling night at the Rod Laver Arena on Sunday, January 26 as Rafael Nadal and Stanislas Wawrinka slug it out for the Australian Open 2014 men’s singles title. As always, only one will emerge as the victor and it was Wawrinka who went home with his first Grand Slam title plus a staggering $2.65 million in prize money. Rafael Nadal will have to wait for the next Major to have another shot in winning his 14th Grand Slam title – to tie with second in all time list with Pete Sampras.
