Maria Sharapova spearheads launch of New Year’s Crush Workout via Nike+ Training Club Application

World number three Maria Sharapova spearheaded the launch of the Nike+ Training Club Application called the New Year’s Crush Workout. The Russian tennis superstar has been very busy despite missing the last quarter of the 2013 season training and travelling.

The app was designed by Yutaka Nakamura, the Russian’s strength and conditioning coach. The workout features the exercises done by Sharapova which usually relies on improving her fitness and athleticism.

“The 15-minute routine includes five drills crafted to move the body in every angle and position. With Sharapova leading the way, users will lunge, lift, hop and quickly move their feet. The total-body workout places a particular emphasis on building strength in the core and legs. Every minute is earned and sweat is not an option.

App users will also be able to shop Sharapova’s training look, which includes the Nike Free TR 4. To learn more about the N+TC App or shop Maria’s look, visit Nike.com.”

Maria Sharapova led an NTC class this week in Melbourne just a few days prior to the Australian Open 2014 tournament.
