WTA launches Road To Singapore campaign

The WTA has launched the Road To Singapore campaign, a season-long project that will feature WTA stars since the start of the 2014 season until its conclusion during the WTA Championships which will be staged for the first time in Singapore. Singapore will be hosting the prestigious year-end tournament from 2014 to 2018.

“The entire WTA organization is excited about the debut of the Road to Singapore,” said WTA Chairman & CEO Stacey Allaster. “The fans of women’s tennis are the lifeblood of our organization and we look forward to hosting the best WTA Championships fan experience in our history and providing extraordinary access for our fans across all platforms, creating a closer bond with the WTA stars.”

The WTA Championships website has been relaunched and fans can become a “Road To Singapore Insider.”

“I am starting my 2014 season today, but I’ve already made qualifying for the WTA Championships one of my biggest goals,” said Serena Williams, a four-time champion in this event. “I am really excited about the WTA Championships being held in Singapore for the first time as it’s an amazing city I’d like to visit. Women’s tennis is definitely growing and becoming more and more global each year.”

The official launch of the WTA Championships and Road To Singapore campaign will be held on January 27.
