World number five David Ferrer will be aiming to win a third consecutive Copa Claro title in Buenos Aires after the Spaniard received a wild card to play at this event. World number one Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the tournament which begins next week due to stomach virus.
“I’m very happy to confirm that I will play the Copa Claro, and I look forward to play again in front of Buenos Aires crowd,” Ferrer said.
