Novak Djokovic does indoor skydiving in Dubai

World number two Novak Djokovic began his adventure in Dubai not by playing tennis but by doing indoor skydiving that certainly fuelled his adrenaline in time for the Dubai Tennis Championships which begins on Monday.

The defending champion arrived early last week in Dubai and the indoor skydiving activity took place on Friday after the Serbian tennis superstar was invited as special guest by the HH Shiekh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who is also an avid skydiver, and they got access via his private wind tunnel that is operated by Inflight Dubai.

Following a pre-flight orientation conducted by Brad Cole, an instructor from the venue, the 26-year old started the challenge in the wind tunnel, which can create speeds of up to 320 kilometers per hour, thanks to the four turbine engines that make this possible.

Djokovic’s current coach Boris Becker also posted his commentaries about the adventure via his Twitter account:

“It’s the real deal #skydive ! Can’t believe we went inside…well it’s not out of an airplane ….but…”
