Rafael Nadal back in training following stomach virus and back problems, ready for Rio

World number one Rafael Nadal seemed to have overcome the stomach virus and back problems that sidelined him from tennis action since the surprise final loss at the Australian Open 2014 in Melbourne last month. The Spaniard wrote in his official Facebook page: “Practicing to the Rio tournament in my first club!”

The stomach virus forced Nadal to pull out of the Copa Claro tournament in Buenos Aires this week. He’s currently training this week at the Manaco Tennis Club and hopes to be in great shape in time for the new ATP 500 tournament in Rio de Janeiro which begins this Monday.
