Rafael Nadal wants to start own family, have kids with longtime beau Xisca

World number oen Rafael Nadal said that he wants to have kids with his longtime girlfriend Maria Francisca (Xisca) Perello and have to start his own family. However, the 13-time Grand Slam champion said that the very hectic schedule in the tennis period is stopping him from making this a reality for now.

“I want a family, but for now there is no rush. I want to continue with the life that I have and keep on playing tennis. Obviously it is much harder to start a family when you have an unstable life, like athletes.”

“The problem is that I have no time to be in the same place, to have a routine and an organized existence. My life is messy because I can be in Shanghai today, tomorrow in Mallorca and the day after tomorrow in Paris.”

“Unlike soccer players, who travel only one day a week and then return home, we tennis players spend almost every week traveling around the planet. That makes it much more complicated for us to start a family and even keep in touch with the one we already have.”

Nadal’s rivals on tour have a family of their own or about to get married. Roger Federer is married and has twin daughters and another child on the way. Novak Djokovic is engaged to girlfriend Jelena Ristic.
