Wimbledon colors, designs to be featured at Andy Murray’s Cromlix Hotel

The luxurious Perthshire hotel owned by Wimbledon 2013 champion Andy Murray will reportedly have tennis courts bearing the design and colours of the All England Club, the site of the grasscourt Grand Slam event.

Murray’s mom, Judy, reportedly secured a go signal from the All-England Club to use the globally-recognized green and purple colors at the Cromlix Hotel, which the tennis superstar purchased recently.

Judy has already given instructions to the designers, Doe Sport North, to create a tennis court which will use the exact colors and designs implemented at Wimbledon since 1909.

“The first time I met Judy up there at Cromlix was last April, before Andy won Wimbledon in the July,” said Doe Sport North Managing Director Les MacLean.

“She was clear then that she wanted Wimbledon colours.”

“There was no discussion. Our manufacturer knows the colour numbers. We got it exactly right.

“Judy sorted it out with the All-England Club. She’s done a lot for them.”

“Judy wanted what you see on the ATP tour courts so they’ve got the hotel name at one end and Doe Sport at the other end.”

“We do a lot of tennis courts for the rich and famous.”

“We pulled out all the stops to get it done. I’m very proud of it. I’m sure Andy Murray will feel at home.”

Despite these developments, it could not divert the attention to the current dispute between the new hotel owners and the tenants as the latter were being forced out of their homes in order to make way for the newly hired staff for the five-star hotel.

The Cromlix Hotel is scheduled to open on April 1.
