Andre Agassi might miss inaugural International Professional Tennis League due to scheduling conflicts

Former world number one Andre Agassi said that he might be pulling out of the inaugural International Professional Tennis League just a day after the details of this event was announced.

Agassi is one of the 28 players who signed up for the event. Players will be distributed to four Asian cities. The exhibition matches will reportedly take place in Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok and Mumbai from November 28 to December 14.

The American, who was in London recently to play an exhibition match with Pete Sampras, said that the change of dates made him mull on the possibility of pulling out.

“I agreed to December dates, agreed to be gone no more than five days including travel and somehow now it’s over Thanksgiving so we’re in the process of working out how that communication broke down,” he said.

“I learned that yesterday to my very big surprise. I don’t have all the facts and if that’s 100% accurate, we’re connecting with the organisers of the event to make sure nobody is left in the lurch.

“I’ve got to get to the facts but my understanding now is that it’s not the dates that are achievable.”
