Roger Federer advances to Indian Wells third round, ousts Paul-Henri Mathieu

Roger Federer continued his good form on Saturday after winning his opening match at the BNP Paribas Open 2014 Indian Wells. The Swiss star, who won the Dubai Tennis Championships last week, ousted Paul-Henri Mathieu of France 6-2, 7-5.

Federer is aiming to win his fifth title at Indian Wells and he’s a heavy favorite to win the title. He’s currently 15-2 this season.

Federer’s next opponent is 31-year old Dmitry Tursunov who outlasted Juan Monaco 7-6, 6-4. Tursunov has yet to win a match against Federer. This will be their fourth career meeting.
