Roger Federer might play for another ten years

This would probably be great news for avid Roger Federer fans out there. The Swiss tennis superstar said that he’s open to the possibility that he could still be competing on tour for the next ten years.

Following his semifinal victory at the Dubai Open last Thursday, Federer was asked during the on-court interview whether he would keep playing for another ten years. Here’s what he replied.

“No problem with that – the question is whether it would be on the tour or not!” answered Federer.

“Clearly the goal is to play as long as I can, and to enjoy myself,” he said.

This announcement may just have contradicted what critics have been suggesting the past few months, stating that Federer may soon quit the sport if he wins another Grand Slam title.

“Playing is not a problem: the question is (whether it is) on the tour or not,” he said.

“So ten years, maybe,” he ended. “Ask it again and we will see. Let’s talk in ten years.”
