World number Victoria Azarenka said that she’s “heatbroken” for missing the Premier Mandatory Sony Open Miami for the second straight year, citing the left foot injury as the reason for the withdrawal.
In her official Facebook Page, the Belarussian posted this message to her fans:
Azarenka did not indicate when she will be back to compete. For now her main concern is to rest and have treatment in order for the injury to full heal. She might miss the first part of the claycourt season but this remains to be seen.
