Ana Ivanovic raises awareness of Bosnia and Serbia flooding

Tennis star Ana Ivanovic joins fellow Serbian Novak Djokovic in raising awareness of the tragic flooding that’s currently affecting Bosnia and Serbia.

On Monday, May 19, Ivanovic visited the Belgrade office of UNICEF where she donated a million dinars (around $12,000) which will go to the relief efforts that’s ongoing.

“It is very hard for me to see the photographs. I want to tell everyone to hold on. Tomorrow the rain should stop and I hope it will be better, or that floods will retreat,” Ivanovic said during last week’s Italian Open to B92, a Serbian TV network.

Novak Djokovic, who won the Rome Masters 2014 title on Sunday, donated the entire prize money he won for the event for the relief efforts.
