Former top ten player Janko Tipsarevic has undergone a surgery to correct the lingering problem on his left foot. The Serbian has not played this season. It was determined that he had plantar fasciitis and the procedure was done on Wednesday.
“It was a complicated surgery (cause there was so much damage ‘inside’), but it went well,” he posted on his official Twitter account.
Tipsarevic was slated to compete at last week’s Dusseldorf Open but had to pull out to prepare for the surgery. He has not given a date of return.
