Wimbledon 2014 Championships Winners List

Wimbledon 2014 Championships Winners List

The Wimbledon 2014 Championships will conclude on July 6, 2014. Here’s the list of this year’s champions and their corresponding prize money. The All England Club has increased its financial commitment resulting to higher prize money for the winners and even the losers from earlier rounds will get significantly higher pay than the previous years.

The 2014 edition of the grasscourt slam event at the All England Club features an increase in prize money which benefits all players especially those who lose in the earlier rounds. Last year, Great Britain’s Andy Murray ended a 77-year wait for a British male champion at the All England Club. The win was Murray’s second career Grand Slam title and earned him £ 1.6 million.

Will he be able to defend the title and increase his prize money haul in the process? In the women’s side, last year’s champion Marion Bartoli won’t be back this year as she’s already retired from the sport late in 2013 but she’s expected to be back at the All England Club as a commentator. She won her lone Grand Slam title at this event last year and she also received £ 1.6 million in prize money.

Here’s the Wimbledon 2014 Championships Winners List with corresponding prize money (the list will be updated once winners are announced/known):
