Top seed Shuai Peng won the inaugural Zhonghong Jiangxi International Women’s Open in Nanchang on Sunday after she defeated 422nd-ranked countrywoman Liu Fangzhou of China. Fangzhou, currently 18 years of age, shows promise and could be the next top player from the Asian nation. Despite a spirited fight from the younger opponent, it was experience that prevailed in this match and Peng would go on to win the WTA 125k Series event with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
