There’s been a lot of anticipation about the new Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph racquet by Wilson that’s currently being used by Swiss tennis superstar Roger Federer. Federer’s signature stick is slated for release on October 1, 2014.
The Swiss Maestro attended a satellite media session today to speak about how his game changed after using the new RF 97 Autograph racquet and how long it took for him to completely feel comfortable with the new frame.

Federer is touted as one of the favorites to win the US Open this year since he’s fresh from a strong North American hardcourt season which saw him finish as a runner-up at the Rogers Cup in Toronto and winning his 22nd career ATP Masters 1000 title in Cincinnati last weekend. A title win in New York would mean extending the all-time record of Grand Slam title hauls to 18 for the Swiss star. His last Grand Slam victory was at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships. He was close to winning Slam #18 at the All England Club last July but lost in the final to Novak Djokovic.
