The Madison Square Garden 2015 Showdown: Roger Federer vs Dimitrov takes place on March 10 at the famous Madison Square Garden in New York. Federer, a 17-time Grand Slam champion, will face future tennis star Grigor Dimitrov at the event dubbed as the BNP Paribas Showdown.
Federer is fresh from winning a record seventh title at the Dubai Tennis Championships and is raring to get back to the courts. Following this match, Federer and Dimitrov will take part at the ATP Masters 1000 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

In a press conference prior to the exhibition event, Federer said that he’s already aware that his record haul of 17 Grand Slam singles could be overtaken by his rivals – current world number one Novak Djokovic and 14-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal. Djokovic won his 8th Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open last January.
“I hope to make it more difficult for them,” the Swiss star said.
“But at the end of the day, records are there to be broken,” he added.
Dimitrov is almost 10 years younger than Federer and for a while has been given the monicker “Baby Fed” due to their similar playing styles. Hwever, Dimitrov has grown and even achieved a career high ranking of number 11. He reached his first Grand Slam semifinal in Wimbledon last year.
Prior to the highly anticipated match, Monica Seles and Gabriela Sabatini will play against each other to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their match at the WTA Finals held at the same venue. That match lasted five sets.
