The Australian Open 2016 tournament ended on a successful note, with record-setting number of attendees and with world number one Novak Djokovic securing his sixth title in Melbourne. The women’s final ended with a huge upset. Germany’s Angelique Kerber stunned top-ranked Serena Williams to secure her first career Grand Slam title. Rankings-wise, Djokovic and Williams will retain the top ranking. Kerber achieves a career-high ranking of number two.

Sofia Open (ATP 250): The Sofia Open is an ATP 250 hardcourt tournament that takes place from February 1 to 7, 2016. For the first time, the Bulgarian city of Sofia will host an ATP-level event. Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut is the tournament’s top seed followed by Serbia’s Viktor Troicki.

Ecuador Open Quito (ATP 250): The Ecuador Open is an ATP 250 hardcourt tournament that takes place from February 1 to 7, 2016. This is the first claycourt tournament of the ATP Tour season and marks as the opening event of the “Golden Swing” of tournaments in Latin America. Victor Estrella Burgos of Dominican Republic won the inaugural event last year and is back this year as the fifth seed. Australia’s Bernard Tomic is the event’s top seed.

Open Sud de France Montpellier (ATP 250): The Open Sud de France 2016 Montpellier is an ATP 250 hardcourt tournament that takes place from February 1 to 7, 2016. Two-time winner Richard Gasquet headlines the event this year as the top seed followed by Croatian Marin Cilic who’s marking his debut at this tournament.
