Wilson Ultra 100 Racquet Review

Late last year, Wilson Sporting Goods launched its latest high performance racquet franchise called ULTRA. The ULTRA collection was developed for that all-court player that seeks for a racquet that’s easy to swing but still brings forth that elevated power behind the ball. For intermediate and advanced players, the Wilson Ultra 100 might just do the trick in improving their game.

Our players have tried the Wilson Ultra 100 and are unanimous in stating that the racquet has a noticeable even feel and precise targeting, thanks to its new, cutting-edge BURN FST racquet geometry. This has allowed them to swing faster with slightly less effort. The premium Carbon Fiber setup on its frame led to power delivery in each stroke, not to mention that they’ve noticed the lightweight feel of the racquet due to its cushion foam handle which garnered optimal shock absorption.

The Ultra 100 worked well from the baseline as it offered a lot of power. For a traditional string pattern, the racquet remained spin friendly and got more topspin than usual. Power and depth was achieved off both wings.

Volley-wise, the easy mamaneuverability grabbed our notice which is without saying that this racquet can be a great one to use for singles and doubles play.
In terms of the serve, the Wilson Ultra 100 is consistent in terms of power and spin which helped in getting a number of first serves in play. Plus, we observed that the extra spin aided in improving the first and second serves.

All in all, the Wilson Ultra 100 snaps up an unbeatable combination of spin, speed and power which is something that the versatile player of today is seeking for. They can easily pick up this racquet and play with it right off the bat.
