Tennis legend John McEnroe stopped by The Dan Patrick Show earlier this week to talk about the headline-grabbing comments he made about Serena Williams. Last week, McEnroe commented in his NPR interview that the 23-Grand Slam champion would be ranked 700th in the world if she were competing on the men’s tour which ruffled a lot of feathers so to speak.
McEnroe, a seven-time Grand Slam singles titlist, stands by his opinion despite getting a statement from Williams herself. He revealed on the interview that even now President Donald Trump once offered him money to compete against Serena Williams.
