The Roland Garros 2017 French Open Winners List is available here. The second Grand Slam event of the season – the Roland Garros 2017 – takes place in the city of Paris from May 28 to June 11 at Stade Roland Garros. The defending champion in the men’s singles event is Novak Djokovic while Garbiñe Muguruza was last year’s women’s titlist. For the first time in French Open’s history, the reigning champions of the Australian Open – Roger Federer (men), Serena Williams (women), withdrew before the start of the event. Nine-time champion Rafael Nadal will attempt to extend the record by securing the La Decima of titles (10th) in the French capital.
The total prize money for the tournament rose from € 32,017,500 last year to € 36 million. The winners of the men’s and women’s singles title will each receive € 2,100,000 an increase of € 100,000 compared from the 2016 edition.
