Wimbledon 2017 Prize Money Breakdown

The Wimbledon 2017 Prize Money breakdown is available here. The third Grand Slam event of the year – the Wimbledon Championships – takes place from July 3 to 16, 2017 at the All England Club. The highly anticipated tennis event will be contested on outdoor grasscourtsand will feature competitions in singles, doubles and mixed doubles for both professional, juniors and wheelchair tennis players. World number one and defending champion Andy Murray heads a stellar men’s field followed by former champions Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. In the women’s side, world number one and last year’s finalist Angelique Kerber is the top seed followed by Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova and Elina Svitolina. Defending champion Serena Williams won’t be competing due to her pregnancy. The 2016 prize money total was £ 28.1 million and has increased by 12.5% to £ 31.6 million this season.
