The $220,ooo Istanbul Cup, a WTA International tournament, takes place this week in Istanbul, Turkey. Due to changes in the WTA tour calendar this year, this tennis event shifted from claycourt to hardcourt which gives its players a great opportunity to warm up before the US Open. Defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska has not entered the tournament.
