The world’s top eight singles players and best eight doubles team for this season will be featured in the year-end Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. This highly anticipated tournament will take place for the first time at The O2 Arena in London from November 22 to 29, 2009. The players who qualified for this event were based on the final standings of the South African Airways 2009 ATP Rankings.

Here are the players who qualified for this event:

Singles: Roger Federer (SUI), Rafael Nadal (ESP), Novak Djokovic (SRB), Andy Murray (GBR), Juan Martin del Potro (USA), Nikolay Davydenko (RUS), Fernando Verdasco (ESP) and Robin Soderling (SWE).

Doubles: Daniel Nestor / Nenad Zimonjic; Bob Bryan / Mike Bryan; Mahesh Bhupathi / Mark Knowles; Lukas Dlouhy / Leander Paes; Frantisek Cermak / Michal Mertinak; Lukasz Kubot / Oliver Marach; Max Mirnyi / Andy Ram; Mariusz Fyrstenberg / Marcin Matkowski.

update: World number six Andy Roddick pulled out of the singles event due to injury and was replaced by Robin Soderling.
