The ATP 250 Qatar ExxonMobil Open will have the world’s top two players making the 2010 debut in this tournament. World number one Roger Federer will attempt to regain the title he won in 2005 and 2006 while number two Rafael Nadal will improve on his quarterfinal finishes on his past two visits in the Qatari capital of Doha.
It won’t be an easy path for the two players to the finals as tough competitors such as 2009 ATP World Tour Finals champion Nikolay Davydenko, Mikhail Youzhny, Ivo Karlovic and Viktor Troicki are in the field.
The singles winner will get $183,000 and the doubles champions will receive $59,000.
