The 2011 Mercedes Cup takes place from July 11 to 17, 2011 at Stuttgart, Germany. This ATP 250 claycourt event attracts a lot of ATP stars since aside from the lucrative cash prizes, the winner also received a brand new automobile courtesy of the tournament’s title sponsor. The total cash prize money is € 450,000. Last year’s champion Albert Montanes of Spain will be back this year to defend the title but will face tough competition from former champions and even last year’s runner-up Gael Monfils.
