Agnieszka Radwanska ousts Jankovic at Indian Wells quarterfinals, to face Halep next

World number three Agnieszka Radwanska edged former world number one Jelena Jankovic in the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open 2014 on Wednesday 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 in two hours and 33 minutes at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. It was an interesting match that could have gone either way. In fact, despite the loss, Jankovic won more points that Radwanska 105 to 103.

This is Radwanska’s second trip to the semifinals at this Premier Mandatory event and will attempt to make another step further. She will next face Simona Halep of Romania after the latter eliminated qualifier Casey Dellacqua in straight sets.

Radwanska leads 3-2 in their head to head series but Halep won their last two encounters.
