Defending champion Ana Ivanovic has the easiest win among the remaining four players in the singles event, thanks to the walkover from Austrian 23rd seed Sybille Bammer who had to pull out due to a left shoulder injury.

Azarenka, from Belarus, is already assured to make a debut in the world’s top ten next week and can get as high as number 8 if she wins the title. Meanwhile, Zvonareva can reclaim the number 5 ranking if she wins the title. Ivanovic will remain in number 7 regardless of what her results be from hereon now. Pavlyuchenkova, ranked 42nd, can go as high as no. 20 by winning the title, she’s already assured of the no. 27 ranking for reaching the semifinals.
